Associate Product Development Manager – Home Products

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Product Development Manager to lead the full product lifecycle for home product sub‑categories within our retail portfolio. Reporting to a Senior Product Development Manager or Director, you will collaborate with Walmart merchants, suppliers and internal design teams to bring seasonal collections from concept to market.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with product development and design leadership to compile market data, trend insights and category analysis for seasonal planning.
• Own and maintain the Item Development Matrix in Airtable, managing supplier relationships, sample coordination and timeline tracking.
• Lead supplier meetings, review product details, and ensure timely communication of updates across cross‑functional teams.
• Coordinate packaging development and photography requests, working closely with the Packaging Project Manager and marketing teams.
• Build and sustain relationships with Walmart merchants, internal design, marketing and creative teams to evaluate sales performance and drive brand clarity.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in retail product development, buying, merchandising, design or sourcing.
• Strong organizational abilities and clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Airtable or similar database tools.
• Familiarity with Retail Link, PLM systems and Adobe Illustrator.
