Associate Counsel

About the role

Sprout is seeking an Associate Counsel to join its Legal & Compliance team. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will be the second in‑house lawyer supporting a fast‑growing, global IT asset disposition business.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements such as customer contracts, vendor agreements, NDAs and partnership arrangements.
• Maintain and enhance the legal department’s operational tools, including contract templates, playbooks, clause libraries and legal technology platforms.
• Provide legal guidance on compliance, data privacy, security, real estate, and labor & employment matters.
• Act as a practical legal resource for cross‑functional teams including operations, sales, finance and HR.
• Support corporate governance activities, entity management and general corporate housekeeping.
• Coordinate with outside counsel and assist the General Counsel in overseeing external legal work.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of legal experience, preferably with exposure to commercial contracts and regulatory compliance.
• Strong judgment, excellent drafting abilities and the capacity to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with business stakeholders and external advisors.
