About the role
Ochsner Health is seeking a Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible Radiology physician to serve as Associate Chief Medical Information Officer (ACMIO) for Radiology. Reporting to the CMIO, the ACMIO will partner with senior leadership to drive clinical transformation through digital care delivery, focusing on Epic EMR adoption, analytics, population health, and patient‑facing technologies.
Key responsibilities
- Lead strategic and operational implementation of the enterprise Epic EMR across radiology and related services.
- Develop and sustain governance models for health‑IT, data use, and clinical information technology decisions.
- Use clinical data to create and refine best‑practice guidelines that improve patient outcomes.
- Advise the CMO and CIO on digital care initiatives, promoting standardization, interoperability, and patient engagement tools.
- Identify, evaluate, and champion emerging digital care technologies that add organizational value.
- Provide clinicians with actionable data to support individual and population health improvements.
Required profile
- Board Certified or Board Eligible Radiology physician (MD/DO) with active clinical practice.
- Minimum 3 years progressive experience in digital care delivery and health‑IT leadership.
- Epic physician builder certification.
- Proven track record implementing and supporting an industry‑standard EMR system.
Required skills
- Epic EMR system implementation, configuration, and optimization.
- Clinical data analytics, governance, and reporting.
