About the role
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock seeks an Assistant Professor of Social Work to join its School of Social Work. The position involves teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, advising BSW and MSW students, and maintaining an active research agenda.
Key responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate social work courses.
- Advise BSW and MSW students on academic and professional matters.
- Develop and sustain a scholarly research program, including grant‑funded projects.
- Engage in community service at local, state, and national levels.
- Participate in departmental service, curriculum development, and accreditation activities.
Required profile
- MSW from a CSWE‑accredited School of Social Work.
- Doctoral degree in Social Work or a closely related field (ABD considered).
- At least two years of professional social work practice experience (preferred).
- Prior teaching experience at the college level (preferred).
