About the role

The Department of Anthropology seeks a tenure‑track Assistant Professor in Cultural Anthropology. The successful candidate will join a vibrant faculty community, contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching, and develop an independent research program.

Key responsibilities

• Design, teach, and assess undergraduate and graduate courses in cultural anthropology.
• Conduct original research, publish scholarly work, and seek external funding.
• Supervise student research projects, theses, and dissertations.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities.
• Engage with the broader community through outreach and collaborative initiatives.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Anthropology or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated potential for high‑quality research and publication.
• Effective teaching experience at the university level.
