Assistant Community Manager – Property Finance

About the role

Greystar is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager in handling the financial and operational aspects of the 505 Courtland property. This entry‑level position focuses on accounting, rent collection, and vendor management within a fast‑paced residential real‑estate environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other resident payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Operate Greystar’s property management software (Yardi/OneSite) to record transactions, generate reports, and maintain data integrity.
• Review resident files for unpaid or late fees, communicate balances, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Process vendor invoices, obtain Community Manager approval, code charges to the appropriate Chart of Accounts, and coordinate payments.
• Assist with eviction procedures, including notice compliance and representation in court hearings.
• Handle resident move‑out processes, including lease termination, deposit calculations, and related fee assessments.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established financial procedures.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and internal teams.
• Basic understanding of residential property management operations.
• Ability to work independently while supporting the Community Manager.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Yardi or OneSite property management software.
• Fundamental accounting and bookkeeping knowledge.
• Experience with rent collection, invoicing, and bank reconciliation.
