Area Operations Manager

About the role

The Area Manager plans, leads and oversees all operations activities in a designated area, with a commitment to safety, ethics, quality, people leadership and customer care. The role works closely with senior leadership to meet company goals and represents Apache professionally in the industry.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior leadership to set and meet company goals and implement the organization's strategic direction in the area
• Drive safety performance through visible, transparent leadership on work sites
• Review and approve cost-control reports, cost estimates and staffing requirements, and establish and manage the area budget
• Present regular performance reports and metrics to senior leadership
• Ensure staffing, development, organization, material efficiency and facilities plans align with the business plan and vision
• Implement operations policies, standards and security measures, and recommend new processes, technologies and systems
• Provide constructive, timely feedback, handle disciplinary issues per company policy and support team member development
• Represent Apache in industry organizations, conferences and events

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction, Engineering or another industry-related field preferred
• 5-7 years of leadership experience in the industrial construction/maintenance business
• Established industry network and regular participation or leadership in industry-recognized organizations
• Ability to articulate complex strategies to senior management and peers, and to build collaborative relationships
• Executive presence, able to interact with senior leaders while remaining accessible to everyone
