Applied HVAC Solutions Engineer

About the role

The Engineering Trainer – Commercial HVAC Applications will join Bosch Home Comfort’s Factory Training team. Reporting to the Sales Technology and Training Innovation Lead, the role drives specification of Bosch technologies by educating engineers, design‑build contractors, and bid‑spec representatives on our commercial HVAC portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high‑level technical presentations, seminars and workshops for engineering firms and specifying engineers.
• Create and maintain a library of technical sales and design tools, including application guides, system‑selection software tutorials, BIM object libraries and master specification documents.
• Translate complex product features into clear performance and application benefits for design and specification processes.
• Provide specialized training on light‑commercial rooftop units, Hitachi VRF, Bosch WSHP systems and emerging industry trends such as electrification, decarbonisation and low‑GWP refrigerants.
• Travel up to 30 % across the United States and Canada to support market integration of new product lines.

Required profile

• Mid‑level engineering professional with deep expertise in commercial HVAC system design and specification.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, able to influence design decisions and bid outcomes.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work collaboratively with sales and product teams.

Required skills

• Design and specification of light commercial rooftop units.
• Water Source Heat Pump (WSHP) systems.
• 3‑phase Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems.
• BIM object creation and management.
• System‑selection software and technical documentation.
