Service & Warranty Technician - Construction

About the role

The Service & Warranty Technician is the primary point of contact for homeowners after installation, handling service and warranty issues with professionalism and speed. You will diagnose problems, perform repairs, and ensure a positive homeowner experience while protecting the company’s reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to homeowner inquiries on the same day and schedule appointments within 24‑48 hours.
• Conduct on‑site inspections, capture photos, videos, measurements and detailed notes.
• Identify root causes and determine warranty responsibility (workmanship, manufacturer, or homeowner).
• Complete same‑day repairs when possible; otherwise order materials and schedule follow‑up visits.
• Perform all repairs to company quality standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Submit detailed service notes after each visit, including issue summary, work completed, materials used, and next steps.
• Maintain accurate job records, inventory usage, and communication logs.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of exterior home systems.
• Excellent customer communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational habits.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel locally.

Required skills

• Technical expertise with windows, doors, siding, roofing, and other exterior installations.
• Proficiency using tablets, mobile apps, and service‑management software.
• Ability to diagnose, repair, and document exterior home system issues.
