Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacist – Neurology & Neuromuscular

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking an Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacist focused on neurology and neuromuscular patients. The role involves comprehensive medication management, therapy monitoring, and patient education across the ambulatory setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pharmacokinetic consultation and use laboratory data to select and dose medications.
• Perform medication reconciliation, monitoring, and education for assigned patients.
• Develop and maintain order sets, formularies, and clinical pathways.
• Mentor pharmacy and medical residents, students, and new staff.
• Participate in outcome studies and publish findings biennially.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS Pharm) required.
• Completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency (or 3 years related specialty experience).
• Current state pharmacy license.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership and teaching abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows‑style applications and data entry.
