Alternatives Investment Risk Associate – Asset Management

About the role

Join JPMorgan Chase’s Risk Management and Compliance team as an Alternatives Investment Risk Associate. You will work on a global Alternatives platform, focusing on real‑estate and private‑credit funds, and help the firm manage investment, liquidity, and counter‑party risks in a responsible, forward‑looking way.

Key responsibilities

• Measure, monitor, and independently assess risks across alternative investment portfolios.
• Track stress, performance, liquidity, and counter‑party risk metrics, escalating outliers to senior management.
• Collaborate with investment, in‑business, and independent risk teams to maintain up‑to‑date risk profiles.
• Support enhancements to risk‑exposure transparency, reporting infrastructure, and oversight processes.
• Identify emerging risks, evaluate potential business impact, and propose mitigation strategies.
• Seek innovative improvements to risk‑oversight policies while ensuring compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3+ years of experience in financial services, preferably in trading, portfolio management, risk management, or investment risk across asset classes.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a curious, inquisitive mindset.
• Excellent quantitative aptitude and comfort challenging existing practices.
