About the role

The Agriculture Lab Technician supports the Soil Testing Laboratory in Marianna, Arkansas, handling both laboratory duties and front‑office data processing. This seasonal, fixed‑term position ensures smooth operation of client services and laboratory information management.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory tasks in the Soil Testing Laboratory.
• Answer client calls and provide front‑office support.
• Assist lab staff and programmers with the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Process and organize data using Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Track inventory and manage metadata related to laboratory samples.

Required profile

• Experience working in a laboratory environment.
• Ability to communicate with clients and support staff.
• Willingness to learn and operate the LIMS.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Competence in Microsoft Word.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook.
