About the role

The University of Arkansas at Fort Smith seeks qualified adjunct faculty to teach courses in History, Social Sciences, and Philosophy. This part‑time, fixed‑term position supports the university’s mission to provide hands‑on, transformative learning experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver undergraduate courses in the assigned disciplines.
• Prepare syllabi, lecture materials, and assessments.
• Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and projects.
• Maintain regular office hours to advise and mentor students.
• Collaborate with department faculty on curriculum development and academic initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in History, Social Sciences, Philosophy, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the college level.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
