Adjunct Business Instructor (Fall/Winter 2026)

About the role

Bergen Community College is seeking qualified adjunct instructors to teach business courses for the Fall and Winter 2026 semesters. The position is part‑time and focuses on delivering high‑quality instruction across majors such as economics, accounting, management, marketing, finance, and hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lectures, labs, and discussions for assigned business courses.
• Develop course materials, assignments, and assessments aligned with curriculum standards.
• Provide timely feedback and support to students, fostering academic success.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (MBA or related field) in business or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of one year of college‑level teaching experience, preferably at a community college.
• Professional experience in the business industry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple classroom responsibilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with common office desktop software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Familiarity with cloud‑based collaborative platforms.
• Experience using learning management systems such as Moodle and Canvas (preferred).
