Accounts Payable Manager

About the role

Vaco is partnering with a global organization to find an experienced Accounts Payable Manager. This hands‑on leader will oversee AP operations, expense reporting, payment processes, and an offshore team, while driving process improvement and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, mentor and develop an offshore team of three AP Specialists.
• Oversee full‑cycle accounts payable and expense reporting, ensuring invoice and expense approval compliance.
• Administer weekly disbursements, corporate credit cards, non‑AR cash receipts, client refunds, 1099 reporting and escheatment filings.
• Establish and track KPIs, build AP dashboards and reporting metrics.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and support system improvements and special projects.
• Participate in software implementations and process‑optimization initiatives.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of supervisory or management experience in accounts payable.
• Experience managing outsourced or offshore processes (preferred).
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (preferred).
• Certification in Bookkeeping or Accounts Payable is a plus.
