Accounting Systems Manager

About the role

The Accounting Systems Manager leads a small team of analysts responsible for implementing, enhancing, and supporting finance‑related systems across Financial Accounting, AP/AR, Treasury, and Internal Audit. This position blends hands‑on technical work with people leadership, ensuring high‑quality solutions while developing team capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 2–3 analysts, setting goals, prioritising work and providing ongoing feedback.
• Allocate project work, balancing delivery demands with individual development plans.
• Act as the escalation point for technical issues and stakeholder requests, ensuring timely resolution.
• Drive the use of Asana for project tracking and visibility.
• Lead the full lifecycle of system initiatives—from acquisition and design through testing, rollout, training and maintenance.
• Collaborate with end users to design and deliver reporting solutions, primarily using Power BI.
• Support and enhance the Power BI environment by troubleshooting, building reports, dataflows and semantic models.
• Perform data analysis and reconcile discrepancies between systems and processes.
• Contribute to requirements gathering, functional design, testing, training and change‑management activities.
• Identify and implement business‑process improvements through workflow diagrams, charts and project plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a small analytics or systems team.
• Strong ability to manage multiple finance‑system projects simultaneously.
• Excellent collaboration skills with finance and technology stakeholders.
• Hands‑on expertise in system implementation, testing and user training.
• Analytical mindset for data reconciliation and process optimisation.
