Accountant

About the role

La Senza is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to manage a range of financial activities across store inventory, sales audit, accounts receivable, fixed assets, revenue, and accruals. The role supports month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing processes and contributes to reporting, analytics, and budgeting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Reconcile and sustain balance‑sheet accounts.
• Perform financial analysis, draw conclusions and provide recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls and legal/ethical standards.
• Assist with month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Support reporting, analytics, forecasts and budget preparation.
• Follow up on outstanding issues promptly.
• Maintain excellent service to internal and external partners.
• Participate in special projects and departmental goals.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and propose solutions.

Required profile

• 1‑5 years of experience in financial analysis, audit or accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and interest in career advancement.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with large‑scale accounting systems.
