Account Manager - Security Services

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring an Account Manager in Franklin Park, Illinois. The role leads and develops security teams, manages scheduling with AI-powered tools, and acts as the main point of contact for clients. The advertised salary is between $75,000 and $82,700 per year.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule security officers using AI-powered technology, meeting client contract hours while minimizing unbilled overtime
• Hire, coach and manage security officers and supervisors, overseeing payroll, performance and employee relations
• Act as the primary client contact and ensure high-quality service that protects people and property
• Respond to escalated incidents and emergencies, coordinating with clients and internal teams
• Oversee training, safety and site operational standards, and manage inventory of uniforms, equipment and supplies

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; licensing may be required depending on state and local laws
• Valid driver's license if driving a company or personal vehicle while conducting business
• At least two years of experience in business operations, security management or supervising teams in a fast-paced environment
• Experience building and retaining a team and developing positive client relationships
• Preferred: college degree in Business Administration or a law enforcement-related field, and experience in security, facility management or payroll/billing/scheduling

Required skills

• Knowledge of emergency preparedness, physical security protocols, risk assessments and law enforcement coordination
• Proficiency in web-based applications and Microsoft Office
• Effective communication with clients and employees while managing multiple projects
• Financial acumen: managing staffing levels, turnover costs and inventory costs
• Preferred: ASIS CPP certification, security systems knowledge (CCTV, access control, badge administration)
