Account Executive – Specialty Sales (NYC & Northern NJ)

About the role

CooperVision, a leading global manufacturer of contact lenses, is seeking an Account Executive – Specialty to manage and grow its specialty product portfolio across New York City and Northern New Jersey. The role involves building consultative sales relationships with existing and new customers, conducting both in‑person and virtual interactions, and driving new business prospecting.

Key responsibilities

• Meet and exceed sales goals established by management for the assigned territory.
• Demonstrate deep knowledge of the CooperVision Specialty portfolio and use professional selling and technical acumen to increase market share.
• Deploy sales, marketing, and educational resources to ensure practitioner acceptance.
• Leverage industry, competition, and product knowledge to meet and exceed customer needs.
• Establish and execute an effective call cycle and territory business plan, regularly analyzing key metrics.
• Respond to customer inquiries within 24 hours.
• Provide integration and training on CooperVision Specialty technology and value‑added products.
• Participate in state, regional and national optical shows.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of consistently exceeding sales targets in medical device sales, preferably contact lenses or specialty lenses.
• Residence within approximately 20 miles of the territory (NYC and Northern New Jersey).
• Strong consultative selling style and ability to work independently.
• Excellent understanding of customer needs, practice dynamics, and market trends.
