Account Executive – Growth Expansion (San Diego)

About the role

ClickUp is seeking an Account Executive to drive growth by expanding the footprint of existing customers through cross‑selling and upselling. The role focuses on mid‑size to large enterprises across various industries and requires a consultative, solution‑selling approach.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the full sales cycle with existing ClickUp customers, including pipeline building, lead qualification and closing deals through cross‑selling and upselling.
• Consistently achieve and exceed sales targets by converting free trials, marketing‑qualified leads and demo requests into paid customers.
• Develop deep product expertise to field customer service and product questions confidently.
• Deliver compelling product presentations and demos via online web‑conferencing tools.
• Partner with Sales Development, Marketing, Solutions Engineering and Customer Success to ensure a seamless customer journey.
• Identify new customer segments and proactively prospect to improve pipeline quality and expand accounts.

Required profile

• 2+ years of full‑cycle sales experience with a focus on expansion, cross‑selling and upselling in a high‑velocity SaaS environment.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation abilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
• Solution‑selling mindset: curious, good listener and highly accountable.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
• Familiarity with HubSpot or similar marketing automation tools.
