Academic Physician – Internal Medicine & Pediatrics (Full‑Time)

About the role

Ochsner LSU Health System and LSU Health Science Center in Shreveport are seeking an academic physician specialized in both internal medicine and pediatrics. The role is a full‑time faculty position (Assistant or Associate Professor) that combines patient care, teaching, and potential research activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality primary‑care treatment and diagnostic services to a diverse patient population.
• Teach, mentor, and supervise medical students, residents, and fellows in both internal medicine and pediatrics.
• Participate in clinical research projects and contribute to scholarly activities.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to develop individualized care plans.
• Engage in departmental leadership and administrative duties as directed by the Division Chief and Chair.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
• Eligibility for an active Louisiana medical license.
• Graduating residents are welcome to apply.
• Appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Medicine.
