About the role

Escuela de Guadalupe, an innovative Catholic dual‑language PK‑8 school in Denver, is seeking a dedicated 4th/5th Grade English Teacher for the upcoming academic year (August‑June). The full‑time, exempt position will lead English instruction for both 4th and 5th grades, delivering a rigorous, bilingual curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver thematic, dual‑language units in English, aligning each unit with essential questions, enduring concepts, and measurable outcomes.
• Implement instructional strategies that incorporate modeling, learning strategies, and assessment for every lesson.
• Plan and assign daily homework that reinforces classroom learning.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, fellow teachers, and school leadership to maximize instructional time.
• Maintain a positive, intellectually rigorous classroom environment with high expectations for student achievement.
• Communicate regularly with families and uphold the school’s cultural, spiritual, and academic mission.
• Supervise students during non‑instructional times as needed.

Required profile

• Commitment to the school’s Catholic, dual‑language mission and belief that every child can excel.
• Ability to arrive by 7:45 am and work through 4:30 pm, including planning periods and lunch.
• Patience, positivity, and dedication to fostering both cognitive and language development.
