About the role
Amazon is looking for a Tax Controversy Manager to join its Global Tax Controversy team, focusing on EMEA and Latin America. The role will lead tax controversy matters, including transfer‑pricing disputes, Advanced Pricing Agreements (APA), Mutual Agreement Procedures (MAP), and tax litigation related to corporate income tax and VAT.
Key responsibilities
- Manage tax controversy, APA/MAP, and litigation matters across EMEA and LatAm.
- Define strategy and approach, directly engaging tax authorities and external advisors.
- Collaborate with Amazon tax teams handling transfer pricing, international tax, M&A, and compliance.
- Liaise with the Amazon Legal team on tax litigation issues.
- Coordinate international travel as needed to support tax matters.
Required profile
- 5+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
- Experience in a large public accounting firm or multinational corporate tax department.
- Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree, J.D., or CPA preferred).
- Spanish language skills preferred but not required.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with competing deadlines.
Required skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
