Talent Acquisition Specialist / Recruiter

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Talent Acquisition Specialist/Recruiter to join Velvet Taco’s Restaurant Support Office. Reporting to the People Operations Manager, you will drive full‑cycle recruiting, onboarding, and employee relations for our growing network of restaurants.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruiting for management positions, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer letters, background checks and I‑9 verification.
• Facilitate onboarding and off‑boarding processes, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Partner with senior People Operations to identify hiring needs and build talent pipelines using job boards, networking and referral programs.
• Coordinate candidate travel and manager training logistics as needed.
• Serve as an internal consultant, training hiring managers on recruitment best practices.
• Maintain the Paycom applicant tracking system, posting new roles and tracking candidate workflow.
• Craft compelling job advertisements and develop innovative talent acquisition strategies.
• Participate in weekly People Calls and quarterly General Manager meetings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in full‑cycle recruiting, preferably within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with hiring managers and candidates.
• Ability to work independently, think creatively and adapt to a fast‑paced environment.
• Detail‑oriented with a solid understanding of compliance requirements (background checks, I‑9, etc.).

Required skills

• Experience using the Paycom ATS.
