Statistical Programmer (SAS) – Research Analyst

About the role

The University of Miami Neuromuscular Program is seeking a full‑time or part‑time statistical programmer to support its ALS research initiatives. You will work closely with biostatisticians and data managers to ensure high‑quality data handling and analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement real‑time data quality control strategies.
• Conduct routine data checks to maintain integrity and completeness.
• Write SAS macros and programs for data cleaning, reporting (tables, listings, figures), and creation of analysis datasets.
• Assist in designing and implementing procedures to improve efficiency and support program growth.
• Perform statistical analyses as defined in statistical analysis plans.
• Carry out additional related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or a related analytical field.
• Experience in SAS programming.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational, follow‑up, and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Team player who can also work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
