Staff Product Designer - AI Products

About the role

Payward, behind Kraken, NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services and CF Benchmarks, is looking for a Staff Product Designer to lead end-to-end design of elite AI products, including a personal finance agent. This is a 0 to 1 opportunity with direct ownership of the design work, working closely with product, engineering and leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Own design end to end: discovery, concept, prototyping, delivery and launch.
• Build new AI products for external B2C customers and internal AI products that shape how Payward works.
• Take products from zero to one, defining the problem and setting the direction when there is no brief.
• Design for non-deterministic experiences, such as AI-powered, generative or probabilistic products.
• Create visually rich, forward-thinking work that sets new benchmarks for AI products.
• Partner with product, engineering and leadership to influence strategy and roadmap decisions.
• Prototype fast, test ideas and iterate; conduct user research and use customer insights, data and experimentation to improve products after launch.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in product design, with a portfolio showing exceptional craft and impact.
• Track record of taking products from zero to launch as the lead or only designer.
• Strong UX and visual design skills, with a record of solving open-ended problems clearly.
• Experience designing for non-deterministic experiences such as AI-powered, generative or probabilistic products is highly desirable.
• Experience influencing product strategy and cross-functional decision-making.
• Strong systems thinking, able to build coherent, scalable experiences from scratch.
