Sr. Manager, Strategic Sourcing

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Senior Manager to lead strategic sourcing for its Fort Worth, TX site. The role is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that drive cost optimisation, supplier performance and risk mitigation across global manufacturing sites.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) program to optimise supply‑chain strategies for capital equipment, maintenance and spare parts.
• Standardise sourcing and procurement processes across regions to ensure scalability and consistency.
• Collaborate with design teams on global reference design standards for capital equipment sourcing.
• Develop and execute procurement plans, monitor milestones and ensure on‑time, on‑budget contract awards.
• Implement best‑practice improvements to reduce costs, lead times and supply‑chain risks.
• Qualify and source suppliers through fair selection activities and produce executive‑level supply‑chain health reports.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with global suppliers, OEMs and integrators.
• Lead a high‑performing team, providing mentorship and driving a culture of continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading strategic sourcing or procurement functions in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross‑functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on cost optimisation and risk mitigation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
