Software Engineer II

About the role

Midé Technology Corporation is seeking a Software Engineer II to join its small, multidisciplinary team in Woburn, MA. The role focuses on developing and maintaining software for the enDAQ sensor line and related cloud services, translating user requests into robust, reusable code.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test Python applications that interface with enDAQ hardware and cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with hardware, mechanical, and data‑science engineers to define software requirements.
• Develop and maintain integrations with Amazon Web Services and Azure IoT services (IoT Edge, Event Hub, Functions, databases).
• Write and contribute to open‑source Python libraries used by the company and the broader community.
• Support networking and server‑side components, including MQTT communication and configuration management for multiple sensor setups.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 2–6 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong understanding of AWS services and solid Python programming skills.
• U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or ability to obtain an Export Authorization.
• Demonstrated knowledge of object‑oriented programming concepts and ability to write large, reusable codebases.
