Shift Operator

About the role

Lubrizol is seeking a Shift Operator to join its Pasadena, TX (Bayport) site. You will operate production equipment, monitor process conditions, and ensure safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform rounds and field quality testing to verify equipment performance and product quality.
• Execute assigned operational tasks and follow standard work procedures.
• Troubleshoot process deviations, resolve upset conditions, and participate in root‑cause investigations.
• Train new operating personnel and share operational knowledge.
• Monitor key unit metrics and record asset utilization losses.
• Carry out autonomous maintenance to keep equipment in good condition.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic mechanical aptitude with solid math, reading, and computer skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication and ability to collaborate across departments.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of SAP systems.
• Familiarity with Delta‑V process control software.
