Service Technician – Lakeshore Pearl

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician for its Lakeshore Pearl community in Austin. The role focuses on maintaining the physical condition, safety and functionality of the property’s buildings, grounds and common‑area amenities.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and completing repairs in line with company policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, coordinating vendors, obtaining supplies and inspecting completed work.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests and maintenance activities accurately and promptly.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.
• Adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, participating in routine safety meetings.

Required profile

• Ability to perform technical and mechanical work on residential properties.
• Experience handling work orders, preventative maintenance and make‑ready procedures.
• Familiarity with inventory tracking and documentation processes.
• Commitment to safety standards and willingness to attend safety meetings.
