Senior Spare Parts Coordinator (Day Shift)

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Senior Spare Parts Coordinator to manage spare‑parts inventory that supports uninterrupted production and maintenance operations. The role works within Alcon’s Supply Chain function, ensuring parts availability, inventory accuracy, and compliance with strict regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, store, issue, and transfer spare parts while maintaining precise inventory records.
• Maintain spare‑parts data in CMMS and ERP systems and perform cycle counts, audits, and root‑cause analysis.
• Monitor inventory levels, address shortages or excess stock, and generate purchase orders.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with warehouses, transportation, and internal partners.
• Support vendor follow‑ups, expediting, and overdue deliveries.
• Facilitate repair, return‑to‑stock, and external repair processes.
• Ensure compliance with GxP, SOPs, and documentation standards.
• Utilise barcode scanning, mobile inventory tools, or RFID for real‑time tracking.
• Apply 5S principles to keep storage areas organized, safe, and efficient.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost inventory accuracy and material availability.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Work schedule: 36‑48 hours per week on a rotating 12‑hour day shift (2 days on, 2 days off, every other weekend).
• On‑site location in Georgia.
• No sponsorship or relocation assistance available.

Required skills

• Experience with CMMS and ERP inventory systems.
• Barcode scanning, RFID, or mobile inventory technology.
• Knowledge of 5S workplace organization.
• Understanding of GxP compliance and SOP documentation.
