Senior SAP Tax Consultant (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP Tax Consultant to lead global tax transformation initiatives for a remote client based in Indianapolis. The consultant will design, implement and support end‑to‑end tax compliance solutions across SAP landscapes, ensuring alignment with local and international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of SAP tax compliance solutions including SAF‑T reporting, E‑Invoicing, and SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC).
• Integrate OneSource GlobalNext with SAP S/4HANA and drive end‑to‑end implementation of statutory reporting.
• Design tax configurations in SAP FI, covering tax codes, conditions, access sequences and reporting.
• Support Record‑to‑Report (RTR) processes, ensuring accurate tax postings, adjustments and reconciliations across OTC, PTP and SCE cycles.
• Act as functional lead for tax workstreams in global roll‑outs, gathering regulatory requirements and translating them into SAP functional designs.
• Collaborate with ABAP and integration teams for enhancements and interfaces, and coordinate with tax authorities and third‑party vendors.
• Provide guidance to junior consultants and review solution designs.

Required profile

• 10+ years of SAP experience with a strong focus on Record‑to‑Report.
• 5+ years of hands‑on SAP tax experience in multi‑country environments.
• Proven experience in full‑cycle implementations, upgrades and support.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
