About the role

Alcon is seeking a Senior Manager to lead its Market Research & Insights function for the Vision Care franchise. You will translate complex market data into strategic direction, guide cross‑functional teams, and influence senior leadership decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual Strategic Plan forecast, consolidating actuals, market data, and key assumptions into executive‑level decks.
• Build and maintain the Vision Care Excel master forecasting model with historical data, dynamic inputs, and multi‑year projections.
• Facilitate weekly cross‑regional forecast reviews to validate assumptions, challenge inputs, and incorporate updates.
• Develop ELT‑ready presentations summarizing market outlook, competitive dynamics, and franchise assumptions.
• Create and maintain annual Vision Care market models (dollar and unit forecasts) for scenario planning and ad‑hoc analyses.
• Produce quarterly fact books on market size and Alcon market share using syndicated data sources.
• Conduct ad‑hoc financial and market analyses, including sensitivity modeling and performance driver assessments.
• Support R&D project evaluations and strategic business case development.
• Track quarterly Vision Care market share for executive compensation calculations.
• Design and update Tableau dashboards for market insights, performance tracking, and revenue forecasts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (e.g., high school + 15 years, Associate + 11 years, M.S. + 4 years, PhD + 3 years).
• Extensive experience in market research, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Proven leadership and people‑management capabilities.
• Strong project‑management, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
