Senior Manager, Competitive Intelligence & Market Insights

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Senior Manager to lead Competitive Intelligence and Market Insights within its Global Strategic Insights team. The role will provide high‑impact, decision‑ready intelligence that shapes enterprise‑wide strategies and go‑to‑market plans for the eye‑care business.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor market conditions, trends and competitor activity to deliver actionable insights.
• Design and manage qualitative and quantitative data collection processes to uncover competitive threats and opportunities.
• Partner with senior business unit stakeholders to prioritize intelligence needs and translate findings into clear, decision‑ready storylines.
• Oversee external agencies and resources, applying expert judgment to filter, validate and distill information.
• Drive cross‑functional collaboration and communication to ensure insights lead to concrete actions.
• Continuously improve CI processes by adopting new technologies and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities, able to turn data into critical, actionable insights.
• Resilient and adaptable, comfortable managing complex systems through change.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging senior stakeholders and facilitating working sessions.
• Experience in regulated or data‑intensive environments such as healthcare, pharma, MedTech or life sciences is preferred.
