Senior Maintenance Technician – Alta Ivy

About the role

The Senior Maintenance Technician will ensure that the physical aspects of the Alta Ivy property—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This full‑time, onsite position supports the lease‑up phase of a 300‑unit mid‑rise community in Cary, NC.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident‑initiated work orders and preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and performing repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the make‑ready process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in property or facilities maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and perform a wide range of repairs.
• Familiarity with safety standards, code compliance, and preventative maintenance procedures.
• Willingness to work a Monday‑Friday schedule with a rotating on‑call rotation.
