Senior Financial Reporting & GL Accountant

About the role

Renesas is looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant to lead financial reporting and general ledger activities. You will ensure accurate, timely reporting under US GAAP/IFRS and support internal controls across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Own month‑end close for assigned entities, delivering complete and accurate financial statements.
• Prepare balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other required reports.
• Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Implement and monitor internal controls, including SOX compliance.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, tax, FP&A, and global teams to consolidate financial data.
• Support external audit processes and ERP upgrade initiatives.
• Identify and lead process‑improvement and automation projects, especially SAP S/4HANA enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 3‑5 years of experience in month‑end closing, financial reporting, or GL accounting.
• Experience with complex accounting areas such as lease accounting is a plus.
• Prior SOX control experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
