Sales Representative – Chains – San Mateo County

About the role

We are a specialist in the beer, wine and spirits industry seeking a motivated Sales Representative to manage chain accounts in Redwood City, Menlo Park and surrounding areas. You will drive brand growth through strategic planning, effective selling, and strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Visit and service chain accounts on a daily route, creating efficient routing patterns.
• Conduct account surveys, ensure national account compliance, and present professional sales proposals.
• Maintain product inventory, restock shelves where permitted, and manage product displays.
• Provide brand education and training seminars to account staff.
• Process credits, returns, and manage receivables, including collection of payments where legally allowed.
• Address customer issues, deliver products in extenuating circumstances, and coordinate with management as needed.
• Achieve sales, volume, and merchandising targets for supplier brands.
• Monitor inventory levels, alert management to demand fluctuations, and support new account openings.

Required profile

• Current associate eligible to apply through the internal Career Portal.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for customer visits.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
