Restaurant Runner / Support Staff

About the role

King Brasserie is looking for a motivated Runner/Support team member to help create a high‑quality dining experience. You will ensure guests receive their meals promptly, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and support fellow staff throughout service.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome restaurant guests.
• Deliver food to tables promptly, ensuring correct temperature.
• Deposit used dishes in the designated area and keep bussing stations stocked.
• Clean and set tables according to restaurant standards; empty trash regularly.
• Learn and retain product knowledge of food, wine, and beverage menus.
• Maintain clean work stations, sweep floors, and perform buffet set‑up and refills when needed.
• Assist with room service and support other restaurant personnel as required.
• Attend all required trainings, meetings, and communicate effectively with staff and management.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a related or supportive hospitality role (preferred).
• Food Handler Certification; Alcohol Awareness Certification if applicable.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Capable of learning, retaining, and presenting menu and allergy information to guests.
• Highly motivated, flexible, and able to take initiative.

Required skills

• Operation of a restaurant Point‑of‑Sale (POS) system.
