R&D Manager (Hybrid) – Philadelphia

About the role

AVEVA is seeking an R&D Manager to lead a software development team in Philadelphia. The role is hybrid, combining on‑site collaboration with remote work, and focuses on growing team skills and delivering high‑quality industrial software.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the product backlog in collaboration with the Portfolio team.
• Coordinate with multiple team leads to ensure consistent, quality delivery.
• Organise work activities, resolve issues, and conduct one‑on‑one meetings with team members.
• Set performance and skill‑growth goals, coach and evaluate team members.
• Participate in day‑to‑day development tasks and assess staffing needs.
• Drive recruiting efforts and onboard new employees.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience, preferably in C#/.NET.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a technical team.
• Strong communication, planning and execution skills.
• Service‑oriented mindset for internal and external customers.
