Quality Manager

About the role

The Business Unit Quality Manager ensures customer satisfaction and drives continuous improvement across the site. As a member of the site Leadership Team, the manager acts as the primary point of contact for all quality‑related matters, overseeing the quality system, certifications, and customer interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the customer liaison for quality issues, escalations, and compliance.
• Define and promote a quality‑first mindset throughout the organization.
• Lead all quality functions, collaborating with cross‑functional leaders to deliver high‑quality products on schedule.
• Maintain and enhance the quality management system to meet internal guidelines, regulatory standards, and customer requirements.
• Develop and enforce inspection, testing, and rework standards for in‑process and finished products.
• Prepare and analyze product and process quality reports, identifying trends and corrective actions.
• Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate the quality assurance team.
• Manage the quality budget, monitor expenditures, and drive financial objectives.
• Obtain and sustain certifications such as AS9100, ISO 9001, Part 145, Part 21, and Safety Management System.
• Oversee interactions with customers, FAA, and DoD regarding quality compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a quality department in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and customer‑driven quality standards.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, drive continuous improvement, and influence senior leadership.
