Proton Exchange Membrane Water Electrolysis Engineering Intern

About the role

Join Bosch's Research and Technology Center in Sunnyvale as a Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) Water Electrolysis Engineering Intern. You will support the water electrolysis research team by testing and characterising electrolysis cells, gaining hands‑on experience in hydrogen‑energy technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, operate, and monitor electrolysis test rigs and benches.
• Process and interpret test data, performing physical analysis of results.
• Develop and refine testing methodologies and lab‑scale capabilities.
• Collaborate with researchers to improve experimental setups.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing an MS or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or a related technical field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Strong foundation in electrochemistry.
• Experience with electrochemical testing equipment and data processing.
• Enthusiastic, collaborative, and eager to learn.
