Prospect Research, Analytics & Records Analyst

About the role

The Prospect Research, Analytics & Records Analyst supports Liberty University’s fundraising mission by delivering accurate donor intelligence, conducting wealth assessments, and managing prospect data. The analyst works closely with development officers, senior leaders, and communications teams to build a robust donor pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Research and evaluate financial assets, biographical data, community involvement, and philanthropic interests of prospects and donors.
• Create comprehensive donor profiles and briefings using university records, public sources, and subscription databases.
• Design and manage analytics programs, including predictive modeling, wealth screening, data mining, benchmarking, and pipeline management.
• Oversee prospect research projects, ensuring high‑quality deliverables and adherence to data governance standards.
• Maintain and update alumni and donor records, verifying addresses, phone numbers, emails, and name changes.
• Train and mentor development staff and student workers on data integrity, best practices, and emerging research trends.
• Collaborate with the communications team to produce visual reports, briefs, and data visualizations.
