Program Technician

About the role

The Program Technician supports the Division of Agriculture’s poultry research programs by coordinating contract trials and providing laboratory assistance. This position works directly with industry sponsors and internal research teams to advance feed, probiotic, and disease studies.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage in vitro and in vivo contract trials for the poultry industry, including testing novel feed enzymes, probiotic candidates, and disease research such as coccidiosis and histomonosis.
• Communicate regularly with industry sponsors regarding contract research progress and results.
• Assist employees and students with setup and takedown of animal facilities, preparation of media and materials, and general laboratory support.
• Perform laboratory tests as required to support ongoing research projects.

• Experience coordinating research trials and working in a laboratory environment.
• Ability to interact professionally with external industry partners.
• Willingness to support team members and students in various research activities.
