Production Maintenance Technician V (3rd Shift)

About the role

Amentum is looking for a T5-level Production Maintenance Technician for its 3rd shift in Winston-Salem, NC. The typical schedule is Monday to Friday 11:00 pm to 7:30 am, with weekend hours possible to support a 24/7 operation. The technician provides advanced expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting and preventive and corrective maintenance of production equipment and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment as scheduled in the CMMS, and respond to and service work orders while complying with codes, regulations and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and solve complex electrical and mechanical problems, and mentor and train less skilled technicians.
• Communicate with site management and customers, identify and correct safety issues, and carry out independent equipment evaluations.
• Follow safety regulations, including job hazard analysis, lockout/tag-out procedures and PPE, and complete tasks according to supervisor-provided procedures.
• Work with colleagues across disciplines, coordinate work, and prepare reports on experiments, tests and projects.
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced personnel and work in a complex technical environment with limited supervision.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent and 6 years of experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders and stairs repeatedly, kneel, bend and reach repetitively, and walk extensively in the plant.
• Ability to differentiate wire colours and use hand and power tools; steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, gloves and hard hat required.
• Willingness to work overtime, holidays and weekends, and to obtain a security access badge at the client's site.
• No sponsorship for U.S. work authorization; a valid driver's license may be required.
