About the role

We are looking for an entry‑level, seasonal Tax Preparer to join our Jackson Hewitt locations. You will work directly with clients to prepare accurate federal and state tax returns, provide guidance, and support any IRS audit inquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Guide clients through the tax filing process and explain required documentation.
• Prepare and complete year‑end, multi‑year and multi‑state tax forms with precision.
• Submit electronic filings and provide printed copies for client review and signature.
• Assist clients with IRS audit support and answer tax‑related questions.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Open to candidates with any prior work experience; entry‑level applicants are encouraged.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain a PTIN certification.
• Ability to work flexible, seasonal hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong attention to detail and customer‑service orientation.
