Part-time Criminal Justice Instructor (Adjunct)

About the role

The Department of Criminal Justice at Austin Peay State University is seeking part‑time adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in criminal justice, criminology, research methods, homeland security, policing, corrections, forensics, and courts/law. Instruction may be delivered in‑person, online, or in hybrid formats.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses across a range of criminal‑justice subjects.
• Deliver instruction using face‑to‑face, online, or blended delivery methods.
• Assist with graduate program activities as needed.
• Maintain course materials and adhere to departmental policies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in criminal justice or a related field (JD acceptable).
• Background search clearance.
• Ability to teach a wide range of criminal‑justice courses.
• Demonstrated experience with multiple delivery methods (online, hybrid, face‑to‑face).

Required skills

• Teaching criminal‑justice subjects at undergraduate or graduate level.
• Delivering instruction in face‑to‑face, online, and hybrid formats.
