Operations Supervisor – Inbound Hub

About the role

Central Transport LLC is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead inbound and hub activities at our Saint Louis terminal. You will ensure efficient loading, forklift traffic management, and accurate pallet sorting while supporting a high‑performing team of drivers and dock staff.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee inbound/hub operations, including loading, forklift traffic, and pallet sortation.
• Manage up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to meet production schedules.
• Build loads using independent judgment based on labor availability and freight volume.
• Monitor trailer cube and weight to ensure proper carrier loading.
• Lead and hold drivers and dock workers accountable for performance.
• Track dock production and ensure KPI goals are met or exceeded.
• Monitor hours, overtime, and maintain a safe work environment compliant with DOT/OSHA standards.
• Ensure adherence to company operational models and promote a culture of excellence.

Required profile

• Experience in transportation, cross‑docking, or shipping/receiving (preferably LTL).
• Familiarity with customs and cross‑border transportation.
• Strong leadership qualities and a customer‑service mindset.
• High aptitude for technology and ability to multitask with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
