Operations Consultant (Remote)

About the role

Mercor is seeking an Operations Consultant to work remotely on a contract basis. You will partner with AI research labs and other senior stakeholders to solve ambiguous business challenges through structured analysis and data‑driven recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Decompose complex business problems into clear hypotheses and analytical frameworks.
• Develop financial models, market sizing studies, competitive benchmarks, and unit‑economics analyses.
• Synthesize insights into executive‑ready deliverables such as slide decks, memos, and dashboards.
• Lead client workshops, conversations, and working sessions with senior leaders.
• Support implementation planning and change‑management activities when required.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience at a top‑tier management consulting firm (MBB, Big Four strategy arms, or comparable boutique).
• Strong expertise in at least one area: corporate strategy, operations improvement, corporate finance, commercial due diligence, or go‑to‑market strategy.
• Excellent structured problem‑solving, financial modeling, and executive communication skills.
• Ability to own workstreams end‑to‑end in a fast‑paced, high‑autonomy environment.
• MBA or equivalent graduate credential from a top program is a plus.
