About the role
Rolls‑Royce is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical support to its manufacturing operations in Aiken, South Carolina. You will work closely with maintenance, functional groups, and cross‑functional teams to optimise production processes and ensure safety, reliability, and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Provide daily technical support to manufacturing operations, including maintenance and functional groups.
- Analyse product designs to identify the most efficient manufacturing methods.
- Specify tools, equipment, and processes for part/assembly production or evaluate existing processes.
- Direct the design and construction of tools and equipment, or recommend process improvements.
- Develop new tools, equipment, and processes for manufacturing.
- Interface with equipment vendors and contractors to implement and manage systems.
- Participate in cross‑functional teams to improve processes and products.
- Write and implement work instructions, processes, and procedures for production.
- Analyse product variations and implement process capability improvements.
- Develop and implement manufacturing control strategies and productivity improvements.
- Promote a compliance culture and adhere to the Rolls‑Royce Code of Conduct.
- Perform special projects as required.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience (or 7 years without a degree).
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
