Managing Director, Global Benefits & Well‑being

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Managing Director to lead its Global Benefits & Well‑being function. Reporting to the Managing Director of Global Total Rewards, you will shape the benefits strategy for roughly 30,000 employees across 19 countries, ensuring the program is competitive, equitable, and financially disciplined.

Key responsibilities

• Define and champion Greystar’s global well‑being vision and multi‑year benefits strategy.
• Own the U.S. benefits budget, drive governance, and ensure compliance across all regions.
• Partner with benefits brokers to negotiate renewals, manage the U.S. open enrollment process, and design equitable global programs.
• Leverage data analytics and utilization insights for market benchmarking and program design.
• Lead a U.S.-based team of four, including two direct reports, and collaborate with regional HR, payroll, leave administration, and benefits committees.
• Provide strategic advice to executive leadership on benefits philosophy, market positioning, and enterprise risk.
• Support M&A activities by evaluating benefits implications and integration plans.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience overseeing global benefits for a large, multi‑national workforce.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to set long‑term vision and translate it into actionable programs.
• Demonstrated budget ownership and financial discipline.
• Expertise in governance, compliance, and risk management across diverse jurisdictions.
• Excellent partnership skills with HR, finance, and executive stakeholders.
